    Who I Work With

    Complex Trauma (CPTSD)

Not one big event, but years of feeling unsafe, unseen or on guard. You look fine on the outside and feel exhausted underneath.

    Attachment & Relationships

You want closeness, and something makes it feel unsafe. You pull away, or hold on too tight.

    Shame & Self-Worth

A constant inner critic that says you're too much, or not enough.

    You Might Relate to This

    • You're hardest on the people closest to you, and you hate that.
    • Conflict makes you shut down or panic.
    • You struggle to believe people when they say they care.
    • Your family relationships are loving and painful at the same time.
    • You feel guilty for having hard feelings about people you love.
    • You're always waiting for things to go wrong.

    A Note from Vanessa

The patterns that hurt the most usually started as protection. Staying quiet, staying small, staying ready. They made sense once. Therapy with me is a steady place to slow down and understand where those patterns came from, without blaming yourself or the people you love. We go at a pace that feels safe. Healing doesn't always look like relief at first. Sometimes it looks like finally feeling what you've been avoiding. That's not going backwards. That's movement.

    About Vanessa Liu

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), CRPO · Practises under clinical supervision

    Languages: English

Hello, my name is Vanessa, and I'm a registered psychotherapist (qualifying) with the CRPO. With a degree in social psychology, I bring a deep understanding of human behaviour and relationships to my practice.

My goal as a therapist is rooted in my values. I value getting to know people—their stories, thoughts, desires and the experiences that have shaped who they are. I believe our personal stories form the foundation of how we make decisions and experience our lives. Creating a dedicated time and space to reflect on where you are, what matters most to you, and how you want your life to feel is a step toward building a life that truly aligns with who you are. I'd be honoured to walk alongside you on this journey, no matter where you are right now, to listen to your story and help you shape the path forward. I bring compassion, warmth and openness to the exploration of what brings you to seek out therapy and your hopes moving forward.
