Therapy for people navigating cultural expectations, family patterns, boundaries, and identity — including Black, Caribbean, and immigrant women — so you can find your own voice without the pressure to "just be strong."

I'm Rhayelle Azeez-Caesar, and I understand what it's like to navigate multiple cultural worlds.
I grew up biracial with Caribbean roots, in a culture where mental health wasn't talked about. "What's the point of talking?" was the message — out loud and unspoken. You were expected to be strong, grateful, and quiet. Vulnerability was a liability. Therapy? That was "for white people."
I lived that story before I learned to question it. So when you sit across from me, you're not explaining your culture from scratch. You're not translating your family. You're being met by someone who knows the weight you've been carrying.
Here's what I learned: You're not a survival machine. You're a human being. Your emotions are valid, and you deserve to voice them without being called weak or soft.
My approach combines:
Cultural Identity & Belonging
Intergenerational Trauma & Patterns
Self-Worth & Boundaries
BIPOC Mental Health
Somatic Healing
Relationship Patterns
Family Pressure & Expectations
Anxiety & Burnout (cultural context)

This work isn't for everyone. Here's how to know.
"What's the point of talking about it?"
"Therapy is for white people"
"You'll be fine, just toughen up"
"Stop being so soft / dramatic"
"That's just how our culture is"
"You should be grateful — others have it worse"
"Pray about it / leave it to God"
"What will people say?"
