Christian Therapy for Depression | Virtual Across Ontario

You're Praying. You're Trying. But You Still Don't Feel Like Yourself.

Struggling with depression doesn't mean you're failing in your faith. Christian therapy can give you a safe place to talk honestly about what you're carrying — with someone who respects the faith that matters to you.

Maybe you've been wondering why you can't just feel better.

    • You feel emotionally heavy even when nothing is obviously wrong.
    • Things that used to feel manageable now take so much more effort.
    • You're tired or unmotivated, and you can't quite explain why.
    • Your mind gets loud — negative, critical, hard on you.
    • You feel disconnected from yourself, or from the people around you.
    • You pray, read Scripture, go to church, try to trust God — and the heaviness stays.
    • Part of you quietly wonders what this says about your faith.

You probably don't need one more person telling you what you "should" be doing. You want somewhere you can actually be honest.

You don't have to choose between taking your faith seriously and taking your mental health seriously.

You don't have to pretend you're okay here.

Christian therapy at K'yaa Therapy isn't about handing you Bible verses instead of listening to you. It's thoughtful, professional psychotherapy — and your faith is welcome in the room whenever you want it there.

    You can talk openly about:

    Depression
    Doubt
    Shame
    Loneliness
    Motivation
    Relationships
    Identity
    Family expectations
    Your relationship with God

    — without feeling judged for what you're going through.

Sometimes you need prayer. Sometimes you need another person sitting with you — listening, responding, helping you make sense of what you're carrying. Those things don't have to compete.

    Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Olivia is warm, relational, and genuinely hard to shock. She cares especially about supporting people living with depression, persistent low mood, and the kind of emotional heaviness that's hard to explain to anyone else.

Her Christian faith is an important part of who she is, and it has shaped the way she understands people — how suffering works, what support looks like, and where hope comes from.

Olivia grew up in Korea and later moved to Canada. She has studied counselling and social work, and previously worked with Korean adoptees raised in families of different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Questions of identity, belonging, and family are familiar ground for her.

Her approach centres the relationship between therapist and client. Techniques matter, but she believes most people need to feel genuinely understood and connected before anything starts to shift.

Therapy that makes room for the whole person

Sessions can hold the emotional, relational, cultural, and spiritual parts of your life at the same time — because in real life they aren't separate.

Faith is never forced into therapy. If you'd like your Christian faith to be part of the work, Olivia can make space for conversations about God, prayer, church, identity, shame, hope, and how faith and mental health intersect.

And if you'd rather not have every session revolve around faith, that's completely okay too. You decide how much of it becomes part of therapy.
